Breast Cancer Awareness month is round the corner, and while I often wish I could consolidate my own awareness of this disease to one month out of 12, unfortunately I am more mindful than most. A breast cancer diagnosis at the age of 31 will do that; a bump in the road that no one saw coming and has continued to have implications long after the treatment finished five years ago.
