Eight-year-old Ava making a huge difference for sick kids

Eight-year-old Ava Crainie has used her creative flair to raise funds for children like herself in this year’s Telethon.

Ava was one of four children to create donation cards by drawing inspiration from their own experiences of having a medical condition.

She lives with Cystic Fibrosis, a rare disease that primarily affects the lungs. She relies on medication and rigorous physiotherapy to maintain her health.

For Ava, Cystic Fibrosis WA was important to feature in her Telethon donation card.

The charity offers support and education programs to WA families, and helps improve access to critical services for children living with cystic fibrosis.

The $2 and $5 donation cards will go directly to Telethon to make a difference to sick, vulnerable, and disadvantaged children in WA.
