The volunteer team gather items that major companies like Amazon plan to throw away and put them in the hands of people who need them.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. Â Based in Henderson, Kentucky, the outreach group 4 Good Community is putting the pedal to the pavement for a cause, with a new program, 4 Good on the Go.
After traveling to underserved communities in Indianapolis and Nashville, the organization’s latest stop in a remodeled school bus was California Park in Louisville.
“We started this program because we knew other communities were in need, other than our own,” said Addison Hearrin, outreach coordinator for 4 Good Community. “So, we got a school bus, we gutted it, and filled it up with resources.”
Packed with toiletries, cleaning supplies, and clothing, the big blue bus hits the road monthly, giving products whose prices have skyrocketed amid inflation, away free of charge.
Traveling behind the bus is a trailer with household items and furniture from major companies like Amazon.
