Ernie Martel says the inspiration for the little food pantry came from his beloved and giving late wife June.

He’ll be the first to tell you it’s been a great life all thanks to his wife, June.

“You can’t be married to someone 64 years and not know them inside and out,” Martel said.

What he knows now is that he misses June terribly. She died three years ago.

“I talk to her every night, and I know she hears me,” Martel said.

Ernie and his friends created a small pantry where people can take whatever they need in September of 2021.
