A boy is cycling 18 miles to raise money for a charity supporting seriously-ill children.
Henry Peterken, 6, of Newark, and his mum, Carrie-Anne Peterken, are planning to cycle 18 miles from Newark to Lincoln in the last week of August to raise money for the Rainbow Trust.
The route will take them from their home in Newark to Henry’s grandparents’ house in Lincoln.
Henry and Carrie-Anne are hoping to raise £200 for the charity, which supports families with seriously ill children.
Carrie-Anne said: “This is Henry’s first fundraising activity and he was really keen to raise money for poorly children, so when we came across Rainbow Trust and learned how they provide help and support to families with really sick children it seemed like the most suitable choice.”
