Andrew Jones To Donate Portion of NIL Earnings to V Foundation

Texas guard Andrew Jones will donate a portion of his NIL earnings this season to cancer research through a partnership with the V Foundation.

Jones made the announcement on Friday and ESPN reported the story. ESPN has a long-standing partnership with the V Foundation, which is named for former NC State head coach and ESPN commentator Jim Valvano. Jones will donate 10 percent of his Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) earnings to the V Foundation.

Jones, now in his sixth season with Texas, missed most of the 2017-18 season and nearly all of the 2018-19 season when he was diagnosed with leukemia. Jones paused his basketball career to fight the disease and didn’t return to full-time basketball until the 2019-20 season.
