His mother Jennifer Workman of Kenosha said Zakary’s older brothers came running to get her, telling her what was happening. When she got to Zakary, his hands arms were stiff, his jaws clenched. It was the first of regular grand mal seizures he has suffered ever since.
Workman said Zakary, now 8, was diagnosed with cryptogenic focalized epilepsy. She said he takes 14 pills a day to control the disease, but still has seizures regularly, most often at night while he is sleeping.
