Tahoe man cycling across US to raise funds for the homeless

South Lake Tahoe resident Daniel Deemer will be cycling across the United States to raise funds for Tahoe Youth & Family Services and to raise awareness about an issue close to his heart.

Deemer departed on May 22 to begin his “Bike For The Homeless” journey in Big Sur. His trek will take him across the U.S. eventually ending at Ocean City, Maryland.

Deemer is currently looking for sponsors for his trek. Those interested in donating can text “Bike2017” to 71777, or visit http://www.tahoeyouth.org for more info. All proceeds raised from Deemer’s trek will go toward homeless youth programming and preventative services at Tahoe Youth & Family Services. Deemer will also be keeping an online journal for those interested in keeping track of his progress with daily photos and recaps at http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/bikeforthehomeless2017.
