Single mum got flower tattoo to cover cancer surgery scars – and fell in love with the artist

As a single mum of three young children, Nina Cristinacce thought her life was over when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 37. This latest knock came just two years after the death of her mum to ovarian cancer.

After having a mastectomy and several rounds of chemotherapy which left her so sick and sore she could no longer hug her children, she struggled to envisage what the future held – especially as Nina was also single and longing for love.
