Student Athletes Play “Harwood Strong” Charity Game

Remembering the 5 teens who’s lives were lost this fall in a wrong-way crash on Interstate-89, athletes at a charity  basketball game donned black and gold showing they were “Harwood Strong.”

The Mount Mansfield Cougars do a charity game every year for the season opener. This year, though, was different.

Players wore black and gold socks and even personalized shirts, to show support for the families of the Hardwood students who died.

“Here in Vermont everyone is very supportive of each other, if an event happens, everyone is going to be there for you, no matter where it is, if it’s out in Harwood, up here in Jericho, we’ll be supporting you guys,” Katie Estes, MMU Cougars Team Captain, said.
