Firefighters dish out pancakes for charity

A big turnout today for breakfast at the Unified Fire Millcreek Station.

They served up delicious food and volunteered their time to raise money for the various charities they support.  Things like burn camp for kids and the public really responded.

Unified Fire Paramedic Taylor Sandstrom told us, “We’ve had a really good turnout today. Probably a little more than we expected. We had to go back to the store and get some more supplies. Which is always good. Again we like supporting the   community, that’s why we’re here, that’s our job   and we like to do it on our days off too, come in, raise some money, and help kids in the community. And do what we can to support them.”

The crew also offered free tours of the fire station, something kids always enjoy.
