As part of Insight’s annual Noble Cause campaign, Insight has chosen the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa, Florida (RMHC) as our local market charity! Insight made a $20K donation to transform one of RMHC’s local properties into a community and volunteer center. This is the second year Insight has donated to a Florida RMHC. Last year, our donation allowed their St. Pete East House to get a significant kitchen and dining room renovation.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities, founded in 1974, is a nonprofit organization that creates and funds programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. RMHC provides temporary residence for families of children being treated at local hospitals. The Tampa house is a short drive from the All Children’s, Tampa General, St. Joseph’s Children’s and Shriners hospitals.
Janice Davis, Executive Director and CEO, expressed her gratitude for our donation:
“I want to thank you for choosing to sponsor the transformation of our 35 Columbia Drive property, adjacent to the Tampa House, into a community and volunteer center. It is going to make a big difference in having the space to meet the needs of our community groups that visit and do projects for the House along with the needs of our volunteers. I cannot emphasize enough how Insight has impacted our organization. It warms my heart. Thank you for being a part of the Ronald McDonald House family.”
As part of our partnership with RMHC, Insight teammates learned of the opportunity to provide dinner for families staying in one of four local houses. As part of the Noble Cause, Insight will be sponsoring dinner once a month for the remainder of the year.
Thanks to the efforts of Mariano Dy-Liacco, Vice President of Services, and his team, Insight has built a lasting relationship with the Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Tampa community.
