Homeless animals fed for a week thanks to charity bikers

BIKERS convoyed through countryside to deliver pet food to more than one hundred homeless animals.

Dozens of petrol heads rode from Fluffy Paws Pet Supplies in Bicester on Saturday to Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary in Stadhampton.

Rob ‘Duggy’ Douglas, who has owned the shop for seven years, said the idea stemmed from his love of animals.

The 49-year-old, who lives in the town centre, said: “People have been dropping their donations into the shop box which I collect all year round.

“The sanctuary is quite grateful. They struggle because it’s independent, we turned around to try to help them.”

Mr Douglas, who has a pet dog, four cats and a cockatoo, is also president of Beerhounds Motorcycle Club which takes part in the annual ride.
